Birthdays!

Kellie and I both celebrated our birthdays in these past two months. Kellie turned 11 on Dec. 15th she had fun day! A little after christmas she took her birthday and christmas money and went and bought a huge bean bag for her room. She also bought matching pajamas and robes with Kate, they looked so precious so we had to take pictures! Then for my birthday I got to celebrate it twice once with all my friends (The little cake that kellie so kindly made for me!) and then I got to have a family birthday party! I will soon hopefully be getting my permit, EEK!

Now, i'm waiting for one more year than I can date!! ;D

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My moms dream came true, she was able to make an Elizabeth Bennet costume for herself and a Mr. Darcy outfit for Dad. They were invited to a Halloween party so it was a perfect opportunity, because they finally had a place to wear it. My mom enjoyed this very much and they both had a blast at the party. Kate was Fawn the fairy from the movie Tinkerbell, so Mom had fun making it. Kellie was Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter! She actually made most of her costume, my mom mainly supervised well Kellie made every little detail in her costume. She loved it! I went to the D.I with my friend a couple weeks ago and we were determined to find costumes, we ended up being nerds! We dressed up and went to see the Michael Jackson movie This is It since its only out in theatre's for a couple days. We then went out to dinner and then down to the This is the Place heritage park. They had taken this old pioneer village and turned it into this haunted maze type thing, it was loads of fun! While I was there Kellie and Kate and my Mom went trick-or-treating, while Kaelyn stayed home and passed out candy for my Dad who was at the Utes game. Overall it was a great halloween!

First Day of School 2009-2010

Wow, with the year round school schedule the first day of school is already here! Kellie is starting 5th grade and Kate starts kindergarten. Our baby Kate started school on her mothers 39th birthday. Kiersten will be in 9th grade this year and Kaelyn a Senior! (they start August 24th). Kaelyn graduates June 1, 2010. We've already scheduled our 2010 family vacation to Orlando as a family June 8th through the 16th!

24th of July Parade

Our neighborhood had a 24th of July breakfast in the park and a childrens parade around the neighborhood. Kate and Kellie decorated their bikes (with moms help) for the event. Kate was awarded a treat bucket for one of the "Most Partriotic" bike. Later that day we had a BBQ/Swim party with Uncle Tim's family and went to see Disney's new release "G-Force" at the drive in theatre.

Little CottonWood!

Today to celebrate the 24th of July we went up to little cottonwood canyon for a picnic and some exploring. We had loads of fun hiking and playing in the water. It was an absolutley gorgeous day to be out in the beautiful mountains!

Family Reunion in Arches

Bonnie's side of the family had a family reunion at Green River this past June. We all stayed right by the river and camped there for the weekend. We ended up heading down to arches to do some hiking and to see these beautiful wonders. It was some great times and it was fun to be with everyone, can't wait for next time!

Kaelyn and Kiersten had the opportunity in June to head down to BYU for a week and attend Especially for Youth. They had a blast and it was a great spiritual experience for them. They also made a lot of new friends, they had a great time!

Wow! We have not updated in a LONG time! This past month we have been filled with activities. So heres an update of our month.

Alex shortly after sweethearts became Kaelyn's boyfriend, strange saying her name with that title in the same sentence, he left this past week to Korea to serve the lord faithfully.

Three months have gone by and our family actually has been doing some things. So, I thought I'd do one big post to update everyone on a few of the highlights.

State Fair

Kate and I went to the State Fair in September ( a first for both of us). They had the funnest area for kids with little barns and opportunities to participate in "farming" activities. She milked a "cow", picked apples in the "orchard", planted and harvested onions, hauled hay in her

"john deere", and got to shop for a treat in the market when she was done. So fun for her!!

Of course the funnest part of the day was "getting air" on the huge slippery slide.

One Friday when Mike was off work and Kellie was off-track, we drove up to Silver Lake, near the Solitude ski resort, to enjoy the gorgeous leaves. On the way home we stopped at the pumpkin patch.

In commemoration of the long-anticipated release of the new Stephenie Meyer novel, Breaking Dawn, my girls and I had a fun, silly night out with our friends. We started with dinner at Rumbi Island Grill. There was another group at the table next to us, similarly dressed and also waiting for the party at Barnes and Noble to start.

Barnes and Noble held a mock wedding reception for "Bella" and "Edward" complete with a "best and worst bridesmaid gown competition." Hence, the above outfits!! Aren't our gowns flattering?

of the book, that she actually cried!! Yep, she's difinitely MY girl.

What we don't have a picture of is the scene at our house at 1:30 am. Picture 5 teenage girls sprawled on our sectional, all reading the same book. I was in my favorite reading chair--the recliner in the den. We had snacks, and paper bags to breathe into--in case of hypervenilation.

Now we can hardly wait for the "Twilight" movie!!!

SHORT hair!

Our hair just keeps getting shorter and shorter. Me and my mother decided to go short this time. We were both pretty excited, and I still was but when i saw how much hair was on the floor i felt sick. My mother loves having this new one it is easy and very fun to play with. The whole reason we say she did this short, very different, crazy hair-do is because it is her "Mid-Life Crisis." I miss my hair but it will grow back and i like it so far! :D

For Easter we almost always go to Springdale at Zion National Park to visit our grandparents. This year was really fun! We got to meet up with our cousins from California that we hardley ever get to see. That was really fun for the girls because there were 11 OF THEM! Imagine all that estrogen whew! (poor guys) While we were there we got to see our grandparents new resturant Wildcat Willies! They are very successful and are only a month into business, we are proud of them. Dad and Kaelyn also got the opportunity to go on the Zions hike Angels Landing. The girls also got to go on a hike with their cousins, FUN FUN FUN! The easter egg hunt was a BLAST for the girls! We had a fun time and are looking forward to going back this summer!

Blast of Winter

All I can say is WOW! Can you believe how much snow that is! It was about two feet in drift areas. Other houses had 3 feet all around. It was so bad they had to cancel church because we couldn't get out of our subdivision. So instead my dad and Kaelyn with others from the ward went around the neighborhood helping people get unburied. It was ridiculous, and we're suppose to get more later on this week. So I had a funny experience with the snow, I was walking to school this morning and in the field there is no path. We have to trudge through all of the snow. Walking to school I fell a couple times, but coming home was worse. So me being curious I wondered how deep it actually went so I went to the deepest part and just sank to where the snow was way above my knees. Than my friend Morgan said, "Jump, see how far you really go down," So of course listening to morgan (which I never should she is not the brightest j/k) I jump and I sank till it was above my waist. So then me being clutzy I fell backwards. So I got up laughing at myself and walked out of the field. When you walk out of the field there is a dip and a path. So, I was walking towards one of my friends car to talk to her and thinking I was on the path instead I stepped down into the dip and fall once again. Just leave it to me to smother myself in snow.

We got a free pass to see Chip because of our disney reward card

We learned while visiting him how to tell Chip and Dale apart.

One is that Chip has one "Chipped tooth" and he has a brown

"chocolate Chip" like nose. Dale has two teeth and has a "Dale"

inbetween them.

Ok my dad has been bugging me for days anytime i am near the computer "Are you going to put the pictures on the blog?" and i keep telling him " No, i don't have time. If you want them so badly than you do it!" I know it makes me sound like a stuck up teenager. But i am happy to say that my dad is getting way into it. So here our California Adventure Pictures ( ones without Kaelyn) and the disneyland ones have kaelyn (or at least should). As you can probably tell we had SO MUCH FUN! And the park was dead *hint hint* Go in January! Also as you can tell kellie and kate didn't want pictures so I ended up in most of them, just wanted to clear that up so I don't seem like a camera hog!

We are now done in California (we have plenty more pictures but I was being a blonde and forgot to pack a cord to the camera to get pictures onto the computer) so now we are in Springdale (Zion National Park). We are all very tired from a week of fun. We did find out from Dr. Grandpa that the bad ear infection I had earlier in the week, did end up bursting my eardrum but it is doing better thanks to much medicine. My parents also learned that they are slowly getting old and are achy all over from ONLY 14 hours at Disneyland plus California Adventure. So when we get pictures we will post them just thought we might update you.

The Beach!

Today we all went to the beach. Yeah who would have thought the beach in January. It is very bizarre for a Utah girl. We all had so much fun the little kids would be freaked out and want to get out and then want to go again. We found some interesting things Star fish, lobster and a dead bird! Charming! All though it was cold it was good to be in the sun again!
